opportunity
With the fast-paced quarter system at Dartmouth, students often feel overwhelmed and burnt out as they juggle demanding coursework and personal well-being.
This highlighted the need for support that feels personalized, peer-informed, and quickly accessible, pointing to an opportunity to leverage AI to bridge the gap between traditional services and student needs.

ideation
I initially was responsible for onboarding screens detailing Evergreen's use cases and permissions, and later pivoted to its chat interface screens, where I brainstormed potential uses cases, and designed and prototyped full messaging flows between the AI persona and the user.
Evergreen provides a chat-style service designed to help students navigate their journey while offering personalized support. Users can choose specific topics to discuss with the AI persona.

As part of its data-tracking methods, it can provide insight into a user’s wellbeing such as heart rate, and recommends a breathing exercise to support them during moments of anxiety.
An Evergreen prototyped animation that guides users through breathing exercises.

graphics
In order to make playful character designs that would appeal to Dartmouth students, our initial idea was to create cartoonified versions of animals native to the New Hampshire area. Each character represents a certain category of needs that Evergren can help with.
